Why it Works:
Just before the pandemic, I was overworked as a startup founder and had a panic attack
At that startup, Blue Fever, we’d built two wellness apps that guided hundreds of thousands of young people to express their moods and find relief and healthy next steps (one best friend text message bot and one reinvention of the diary for modern teens)
It was rewarding but I worked long hours without boundaries or adequate time to recharge
The brains of chronically burnout people show similar damage as people who have experienced trauma – I was, essentially, traumatized
I spent the next three years learning how to detect stress earlier and find daily joy to unwind so I could heal and never feel that way again
I researched the most successful de-stressing and life design frameworks from experts, got a coach, a therapist, practiced nearly every day
The panic attack never returned
Now, I’ve boiled the process down into delightful, guided steps, to help others do it at a fraction of the effort and cost that I did
